  • Providing opportunities for reflective practice, shared learning, and ethical discussion relevant to local and global contexts.

  • Offering access to professional development through workshops, expert talks, and cross-sector knowledge exchange.

  • Facilitating collaboration across educational, clinical, and organizational settings, encouraging holistic understanding of wellbeing and care.

  • Upholding professional standards and values that align with international codes of ethics and practice (BASW & IFSW), while honoring local cultural sensitivities.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

DESWA is for:

  • Graduate-qualified, CDA licensed social workers or those working towards their license. 

  • Individuals of any nationality

  • Individuals living and/or working in Dubai.

  • Social Workers in any setting, including but not exclusive to schools, clinics, NGOs, corporate wellbeing, private practice, or transitional/expatriate support roles.

DESWA does not:

  • Provide professional accreditation.

  • Act as a Union or formal representation body.

  • Provide indemnity or litigation advice.
